Dr. Cherkas
Dr. Cherkas has a philosophy of utilizing his experience and
skills to maintain existing dental work and prosthesis with minimally invasive
and cost effective procedures. His experience and expertise makes use of
the latest advancements in dental technology. He utilizes a soft tissue
dental laser for optimal comfort and predictable results. 
Dr. Cherkas is a well recognized expert both nationally and
internationally in the areas of cosmetic dentistry and porcelain laminate
veneers. He has lectured in over 100 cities in the United States on
cosmetic dentistry. His developments and recent articles on precise color
shade matching are in dental textbooks, read throughout the world.
Recognition of his skills, knowledge, and expertise has resulted in four
professorships, including Professorships of both Restorative Dentistry and Periodontics at the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Cherkas also serves as a dental consultant, advisor, and evaluator to
several dental/medical companies.
Dr. Cherkas performs in-office all restorative, surgical and
periodontal procedures. He is also trained and experienced in Endodontics,
Orthodontics, Implantology, Botox, and Injectable Lip Augmentation. In our
office, we have an Endodontist who specializes in root canals. Our office staff is available to discuss any
questions or concerns you might have regarding any procedure done within our
office. Routine maintenance and dental appointments can be combined with
our highly trained staff of Cosmetic Injectable Nurses, to offer convenient
elective cosmetic facial enhancements.
Our staff is comprised of highly trained individuals, who
have been with our office for many years, and are dedicated to patient comfort,
efficiency, and results. Our hygiene program incorporates a philosophy to
promote overall health, maintenance and longevity of all dental work. Our
office participates with most dental insurance plans and our Office Manager
discusses all financial considerations and payment options.
Dr. Neal Appelstein
Dr. Neal Appelstein is an Endodontist who has worked for Cherkas
Dental Associates for the past 8 years, doing all root canal procedures in our
office. Testimonials from both patients and staff are that he is very
gentle, quick, and pain free.

Michele Petrillo complements our Dental Practice with over 34 years of Nursing expertise. She has been sculpting and rejuvenating faces for some of the finest Plastic Surgeons in the Philadelphia area.
Michele holds certifications in Advanced Training, using Combined Botox and Dermal Fillers, for facial enhancement. She is an educator for physicians, dentists, and beginner to advanced level injectors involved in the care of patients undergoing medical aesthetic procedures. Her years of experience using Botox, Juvederm, Radiesse and Sculptra for facial contouring, volumizing and
wrinkle softening contribute to her success in yielding a superior outcome.
